Job Overview

The Medical Workforce Coordinator plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our medical workforce.

  • Coordinating education, rostering, and on-boarding for LHD
  • Supporting the delivery of clinical services across the hospital and liaising with key stakeholders at NBH, NSW Health and Liaising with health authorities

This position reports directly to the JMO Unit Manager and works collaboratively with the Medical Workforce team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating and managing JMO rosters, ensuring they are equitable, cost-effective, and adhere to safe working hours as per the JMO awards.
  • Maintaining daily rosters including sick leave, overtime, and annual leave cover for all JMOs.
  • Coordinating JMO on-boarding and credentialing, and managing rotation processes for Healthscope and Northern Sydney Network.
  • Providing administrative support, preparing reports, newsletters, correspondence, meeting papers, and audits.
  • Assisting with junior and senior medical staff enquiries, orientation, and wellbeing by providing timely advice, support, and guidance.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of relevant industrial awards, legislative requirements, and policies and procedures at a local, district, and State level.
  • Contributing to the overall strategic direction of the unit and achievement of key performance indicators.
