Fleet Coordinator Role

The role of Fleet Coordinator is a pivotal position in ensuring the efficient utilization of our fleet and meeting delivery-in-full-on-time (DIFOT) targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manifest the timely and efficient pickup and delivery of freight, including standard PUD milk runs, to ensure DIFOT is met.
  • Liaise with supervisors to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles.
  • Ensure all incidents, hazards, and NCRs are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve service/operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure drivers adhere to statutory and company requirements, including driver fatigue and load restraint.
  • Daily debriefing of drivers to ensure compliance with relevant processes.
  • Understand and review customer KPIs to ensure customer requirements are met and targets achieved.
  • Have strong knowledge of local and rural delivery points and ensure effective planning and efficiency at all times.

Requirements:

  • Related work or industry experience.
  • Tertiary qualification (supply chain discipline) – desired.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision-making, and organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Supply chain management expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of transportation logistics and operations.
