About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Freight Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a full-time permanent basis.

As a key member of our logistics operations, you will play a crucial role in coordinating freight negotiations and procurement operations to ensure seamless delivery of goods to our clients.

Your expertise in freight management will enable us to optimize costs, improve service levels, and maintain strong relationships with freight providers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate freight providers to secure the best rates and service levels.
  • Develop and execute transportation procurement strategies to meet business needs and optimize costs.
  • Manage service agreements and operational procedures with freight providers to ensure compliance with company expectations and legal requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on freight-related matters, including road, rail, or alternate domestic freight inquiries.
  • Monitor delivery requirements to meet client expectations.
  • Coordinate and assist in maintaining records and files for efficient operations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in freight management, transportation procurement, or a similar field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and report building.
  • Negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
