Freight Logistics Coordinator Job Description

The Freight Logistics Coordinator is a key role in our organization, responsible for coordinating and running the logistics of trucks and trailers.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the logistics team, working closely with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and run logistics equipment (trucks & trailers)
  • Enter information and job requests into the workflow system as per standard operational procedures
  • Allocate work to contractors/sub-contractors ensuring service/job tasks are met
  • Monitor and relay truck movements back to clients
  • Communicate effectively with sub-contractors
  • Ensure all written and verbal communication is professional and courteous
  • Implement OH&S/COR requirements and complete online training course for COR
  • Perform on-site truck wrangling at venues around Australia when required
  • Work after hours and occasionally drive a local 3-tonne truck
  • Load and unload trucks/containers
Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and genuine passion for providing superior customer service
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Reliable and punctual

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, sound knowledge of Major Australia metro areas, excellent communication skills, a calm and professional telephone manner, data entry skills, Microsoft Office skills, and a Forklift License.
