Job Title: Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Manager to oversee the management of transportation operations in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation operations and excellent program management skills.


About the Job:

  • To manage transportation operations across multiple regions in Australia, ensuring that all yard activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • To own the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience for yard management activities across all sites in Australia.
  • To lead a team of TOM Area Managers across different regions, providing regular coaching and development sessions, and directing the team as needed.
  • To launch the TOM function to cover new site launches in Australia by collaborating with launch teams and cross-functional teams to set up TOM.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Significant work experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with employee and performance management experience, including data analytics and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and lean techniques.
  • High ability to deal with ambiguity and handle changing priorities, to effectively prioritize, to multitask, and to use good judgment in pressure situations.
