Job Overview

A key role within our organization is to drive innovation and execution in transportation networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the development of a strong culture of health and safety practices through compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Assist in daily management of department duties.
  • Provide support to the Operations Shift Manager as required.
  • Conduct thorough debriefs of all staff and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assign work to staff to support workflow and daily metrics.
  • Support the Operations Shift Manager by ensuring sufficient resourcing, including call outs for training needs, absence, performance management, coaching, and monitoring of department productivity.
  • Contribute to the training of new associates to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to perform tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager to track, trend, and report departmental metrics.
  • Analyze and understand reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental goals.
  • Monitor and report hours and schedules for Associates.
  • Solve process-related issues as required.
  • Ensure equipment defect reporting is completed to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing teams.
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
