Job Description

  1. We are seeking an experienced advisor to join our Infrastructure and Industrials (I&I) team in Perth.
  2. The successful candidate will work on some of the largest and most significant infrastructure projects in Western Australia.
  3. You will be responsible for providing valuable advice and services to State Government Departments, addressing complex problems and seizing significant opportunities facing Western Australia.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with government and stakeholders to make investment decisions across health, education, transport, ICT, social infrastructure, and housing programs.
  2. Provide advice on emerging industries and growth areas to diversify the state's economy.
  3. Undertake strategic analyses to determine locations for ports or sports stadiums.
  4. Analyze health and education infrastructure performance and future needs using advanced tools and technologies.
  5. Work with diverse teams to manage international tenders involving major global companies, negotiating public outcomes and value for money from complex service contracts.
  6. Perform commercial and financial analyses, designing frameworks like performance and payment arrangements, and developing procurement strategies.
  7. Lead or support the delivery and management of large-scale construction projects.

Requirements

  1. A strong desire to make impactful contributions through your work.
  2. An interest in public sector economics, finance, social drivers of government investment, or major industrial sectors such as energy, transport, logistics, and defense.
  3. Experience or interest in quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision-making.
  4. Excellent communication skills, capable of preparing diverse documents and tailoring messages for different audiences.
  5. A positive, collaborative, problem-solving approach.
  6. A desire to learn and develop professionally.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead diverse teams.
  8. A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, Commerce, Law, Finance, or Engineering).
  9. A passion to impact your community, state, and national economy.
