This permanent part-time role involves working as a Specialist in Student Wellbeing at Applecross Senior High School, commencing Term 4.
Main Responsibilities:- The successful candidate will develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to consult widely and work effectively with the Student Services team, students, and parents.
- Provide direct student support and contribute to whole-school wellbeing programs in collaboration with staff to promote a positive school culture, resilience, and mental health initiatives across all year levels.
- Work with students ranging from individuals through small groups to whole cohorts; support high-performing students with tailored strategies to manage academic pressure and maintain wellbeing.
- Be an active member of the case management team, contributing to planning and intervention strategies that support student wellbeing and engagement; align with the school's core values of Personal Best and Mutual Respect to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Student Services team to identify and respond to emerging needs within the school community.
- Hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
