Job Opportunity

High-level telecommunications project delivery involves coordinating with teams, interpreting customer requirements and implementing change requests. Telecommunications technicians work on preventative, corrective, and break/fix maintenance activities across operational sites.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating brownfield projects including high-level design, project coordination, and hands-on involvement in implementation.
  • Performing preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Facilitating factory acceptance testing, installation, and system commissioning.
  • Designing and coordinating system upgrades, modifications, and new system installations.
  • Providing backfill for site-based maintenance personnel during off-peak periods.
Requirements
  • Relevant certification such as Certificate III Electronics & Communications (essential), Cert IV (preferred).
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements including Working at Heights, Low Voltage Rescue, EWP, First Aid, Confined Space training, Drivers License.
  • ACMA cabling skills - Cu & F/O.
  • TBOSIET including HUET training advantageous.
  • Registration with relevant authorities such as REL / EEHA all modules including Detailed Inspection advantageous.
Skills
  • Experience with minor brownfields projects, including permitting, change management, documentation, and updating drawings.
  • ACMA Cabling license registration required, MSIC, EEHA, and HUET advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Operational experience in O&G environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in diverse RF and Electronic Systems maintenance.
  • Restricted Electrical License advantageous.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
  • Supporting multiple systems such as Radio UHF (Tetra), VHF, Microwave.
