Project Engineering Leadership Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of engineering projects across assigned telecommunications infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering resources and internal/external stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Manage engineering schedules, risks, priorities, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Represent the engineering team in project meetings with clients and project managers.
  • Lead design reviews and Safety in Design processes to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and review scopes for subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Support on-site activities including installation and commissioning of equipment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in engineering delivery within EPC or related environments.
  • A background in telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, or defence sectors is highly regarded.
  • Strong skills in engineering project controls, change management, and stakeholder engagement are essential.
  • The ability to interpret technical scopes and deliver projects to schedule is critical.
  • Excellent knowledge of design, commissioning, and construction processes is required.
  • Confident management of subcontractors and technical queries is necessary.
  • Chartered status or eligibility for MIEAust/CPEng is highly desirable.
