Telecommunications Project Manager

This is a pivotal role in coordinating and leading a team of skilled tradespeople for exciting telecommunications projects.
- Conduct site walk-outs to ensure efficient operations aligned with plans and schedules
- Lead subcontractors, clearly communicating their scopes and addressing issues with the Area Supervisor or Superintendent
- Collaborate with clients to secure approvals for changes in scope or design
- Proactively manage resource needs and shortages, escalating as necessary
- Work with Site Engineers to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment, reporting stock deficiencies promptly
As a Telecommunications Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing Safety, Program, and Quality in the field while reporting progress back to the Area Supervisor and Site Engineer. To succeed in this position, you require:
- Supervisory experience in a telecommunications construction role
- Knowledge of telecommunications networks
- Ability to read and interpret network plans
- Civil background, with experience in directional drilling, pit and pipe installation, and open trenching
- Proven track record in supervising contractors doing multi-discipline roles
- Willingness to travel throughout the state
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring effective project execution
- Maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
- Providing expert advice on project requirements and specifications
Requirements for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Relevant industry certifications and training
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
