**Key Position Overview:**
The Liaison Officer will provide recovery-oriented clinical interventions to consumers and their carers throughout the pre-admission process. This includes providing mental health assessments, liaising with family/carers, community supports, and health professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to effectively coordinate step-up or step-down admissions.
- Deliver high-quality mental health assessments to consumers and their carers.
- Liaise with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
**Required Expertise and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:
- A degree in Social Work (eligible for AASW membership), Occupational Therapy (current registration with Occupational Therapy Board/AHPRA), Registered Nurse (current registration with NSW Nurses & Midwives Board/AHPRA), or Psychologist (current registration with NSW Psychologists Board/AHPRA).
- High-level effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in complex psychosocial mental health assessment, planning, and delivery of recovery-oriented mental health interventions.
- Commitment to incorporating Mental Health Recovery principles into day-to-day clinical practice.
- Able to work with minimal supervision as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C - unrestricted).
