Operational Manager

The fast-paced environment of a car rental location requires a leader who can manage staff and oversee daily operations. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for managing the front counter, wash bay, and vehicle transport areas.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on leadership role that involves guiding a team, ensuring seamless customer service, smooth logistics, and a motivated team environment.
You will lead and support staff across multiple functions, coach and mentor front-line team members to deliver excellent customer service and hit sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, rostering, and workflow coordination
- Coach and mentor staff to deliver excellent customer service and hit sales targets
- Ensure vehicle readiness, including cleanliness, presentation, and roadworthiness
- Oversee fleet movement and manage vehicle transport areas
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong people management and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role, ideally in retail, hospitality, logistics, or rentals.
A flexible, can-do attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities is essential.
Additional requirements include knowledge of customer service, sales techniques, and Workplace Health & Safety.
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, is also required.
