Employment Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and client-focused Employment Specialist to support individuals with disability, injury, or health conditions in achieving meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes.

  • This role involves conducting comprehensive appointments to assess individual circumstances, identify vocational and non-vocational barriers, and develop personalized job plans.
  • The successful candidate will establish strong relationships with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and promote inclusive recruitment practices.
  • A key aspect of this role is collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including allied health professionals, training providers, and community organizations.
About the Role

As an Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify participant capabilities and goals, and providing tailored interventions to enhance their employability.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks.
  • Building and sustaining strong connections with participants, employers, and stakeholders to drive successful employment outcomes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Lived experience or relevant experience working with people with a disability.
  • Qualifications in employment or disability services highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to engage with diverse communities.
  • A passion for inclusive employment and supporting people with disability.
