About the Role:

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a BMS Project Engineer within our Digital Building Business. This role is pivotal in the design and execution of Schneider Electric's BMS initiatives, serving as a key technical collaborator for our clients.

Working alongside Project Managers and clients across various sites, you will join a dedicated and skilled team that delivers exceptional service and support. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your BMS expertise and cultivate a rewarding career within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing BMS technical solutions for client projects utilizing Ecostruxure Building Operation, Schneider Electric's proprietary BMS platform.
  • Facilitating integration with electrical, hydraulic, fire safety, vertical transport, security, CCTV, mechanical, IT, and other systems through protocols such as BACnet, MODBus, LON, API, Smart Connectors, and web services.
  • Designing solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and reliability best practices.
  • Collaborating with IP Networks and ICT system configurations to support the implementation of Schneider Electric's building control systems.
  • Programming the Building Management System to align with functional specifications and client needs.
  • Conducting onsite commissioning of the BMS to ensure operational integrity as per specifications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Assisting Project Managers in developing comprehensive alternative solutions during change order management.
  • Managing and engineering smaller project initiatives.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals who are passionate about technology and excel in problem-solving within dynamic environments. You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or Computer Science (or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of BMS controls and HVAC systems, with additional knowledge of Security and CCTV systems preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Building Systems Protocols and IP Infrastructure integration.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Capability to coordinate various internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A desire to build a long-term career through continuous learning and skill development.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License.
