About the Role:

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer within our Digital Building division. This position is crucial for the design and execution of Schneider Electric's BMS initiatives, acting as a vital technical ally to our clients.

Collaborating closely with Project Managers and clients across various sites, you will join a dedicated and skilled team that delivers exceptional service and support. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your BMS expertise and cultivate a rewarding career within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing BMS technical solutions for client projects utilizing Ecostruxure Building Operation, our proprietary BMS platform.
  • Facilitating integration with various systems including electrical, hydraulic, fire safety, vertical transport, security, CCTV, mechanical, IT, and more through protocols such as BACnet, MODBus, LON, API, Smart Connectors, and web services.
  • Designing solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and reliability best practices.
  • Engaging with IP Networks and ICT system configurations to support the deployment of Schneider Electric's building control systems.
  • Programming the Building Management System to align with functional specifications and client expectations.
  • Conducting onsite commissioning of the BMS to ensure operational compliance with functional descriptions and specifications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
  • Assisting Project Managers in developing comprehensive alternative solutions during change order management.
  • Managing and engineering small-scale projects.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and excels in problem-solving within complex environments. You are driven by achieving results and possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or Computer Science (or related fields).
  • Strong understanding of BMS controls and HVAC systems, with additional knowledge in Security and CCTV being advantageous.
  • Clear comprehension of Building Systems Protocols and IP Infrastructure integration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A desire to pursue a long-term career by enhancing technical knowledge and skills.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License.
