Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum

About the Role

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in leading the culinary direction of Jana Restaurant & Bar, Rooftop at QT, In Room Dining, QTea, and Meetings & Events.

This hands-on role requires a leader who can drive the overall guest experience with delicious food, assist with rostering and recruitment, and ensure compliance with WH&S, FSS, and HACCP regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with menu planning and cost control across all hotel outlets.
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement seasonal menu changes to reflect current trends and guest preferences.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a similar establishment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A sound knowledge of current food and kitchen trends.
