About QT

A leading hospitality company is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Chef de Partie to join their team at QT Newcastle. As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations, purchasing and stock control, and ensuring the highest quality of food presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and stock control: Assist the Executive Chef in managing the inventory, conducting month-end stock takes, and tracking weekly stock levels.
  • Costing and menu planning: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to cost all dishes, develop detailed recipe costs for various menus, and assist with seasonal changes.
  • Hands-on approach: Demonstrate a hands-on attitude to problem-solving, working independently, and maintaining an encyclopedic knowledge of food and cooking techniques.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Passion for delivering service excellence, excellent presentation, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Team player with a hands-on attitude and sound knowledge of current food and kitchen trends.
