Job Title: Rigger

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team at DNEG. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for producing high-quality animation rigs for digital doubles, creatures, props, and vehicles. You will work closely with our Creature Supervisors and Animation Leads/Supervisors to develop innovative rigging solutions that meet the needs of our productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical and creative solutions for animation rigs
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of rigs into productions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to improve rigging skills and knowledge
  • Work under pressure to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality results

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in VFX feature films/feature animation
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Maya
  • Comfortable with technical aspects of character/creature work
  • Programming or scripting skills, preferably in Python
  • Strong visual and artistic skills
  • Excellent understanding of anatomy
