Job Overview

This senior leadership position is focused on driving strategic risk management across the business, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks to ensure the effective delivery of plan management services.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach and support a team of professionals to ensure their growth and successful delivery of the organisation's risk strategy.
  • Assurance and Audit Plans: Oversee the implementation of assurance and audit plans that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess financial and non-financial risks, embedding effective controls and mitigation strategies across the plan management process.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant global and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Incident Management: Oversee operational and compliance incidents, conduct investigations and implement remedial actions.

About You

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in risk management, compliance and/or audit practices. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to foster a positive team culture and drive high performance.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior risk leadership role, ideally within the financial services or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to plan management services.
  • Experience engaging with regulators or external bodies.
  • Demonstrated success in embedding a quality improvement and risk-aware culture.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical, interpretation and reporting skills, including excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a commercial discipline such as commerce, finance, accounting, law or equivalent.
