Job Opportunity:

The APM Rehabilitation Consultant role is a unique opportunity to apply your clinical reasoning skills to support Australian Defence Force personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that takes a holistic care approach, working with stakeholders including the employee, medical specialists, treatment providers, and allied health professionals to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.

The successful candidate will have current unrestricted registration or membership with a relevant industry body, such as AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC, or AASW. They will also possess tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work.

Australian Citizenship is required, as is strong clinical reasoning and the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams. Occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded.

  • Perform various assessments based on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.
  • Set goals and provide genuine person-centred focus.
  • Work within standard hours (7:30am - 3:30pm weekdays) with options for a 4-day week or 5 days.
