**Payroll Officer Role Description**

  • As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes and ensuring compliance with employment entitlements. You will work closely with the Finance team to deliver reporting and analysis for various stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

">

  1. Prepare and process monthly, fortnightly, and ad hoc pay runs in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  2. Manage terminations and associated payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  3. Reconcile superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax to ensure compliance and minimize discrepancies.

  4. Maintain accurate employee records and onboard new starters, ensuring seamless integration into the payroll system.

  5. Administer novated lease deductions and other employee benefits in accordance with company policies.

  6. Deliver regular reporting and analysis to Finance, P&C, and other stakeholders, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.

  7. Support payroll compliance and award interpretation, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll, preferably within professional services.

  • Strong understanding of Fair Work and state legislation, with the ability to interpret awards and apply employment entitlements.

  • Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems, including data entry and reconciliation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
