About the Role

WorkSafe Victoria is seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our People and Culture business unit, you will partner with various business areas to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring our organization's processes are efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, developing accurate documentation and identifying risks associated with new processes and capability changes.
  • Collaborate with business units and specialist areas to obtain commitment for operational improvement initiatives, promoting changes to practices, policy, and building capability within teams.
  • Produce high-quality process and value stream maps.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and interpretation of client and stakeholder needs to inform process or capability changes and support WorkSafe's strategic outcomes.
  • Provide continuous improvement advice to business stakeholders on process, people, and technology changes that contribute to business goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and uptake of WorkSafe's continuous improvement framework, including tool development and training delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience in continuous improvement, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality support to large teams.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with others.
  • Demonstrated practical application of continuous improvement methodologies in medium to large organizations.
  • Advanced computer skills and data analysis capability using Microsoft Word/Excel, ICT systems, collaboration, and productivity applications, as well as continuous and business improvement tools.
  • Understanding of change management principles and implementation.
  • Ability to align activities with organizational goals.
  • Excellent client focus and ability to influence and manage client expectations to deliver outcomes.
  • High attention to detail and high levels of emotional intelligence.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and experience managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in human resources, business, or project management.
