Continuous Improvement Specialist

About the Role
WorkSafe Victoria is seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our People and Culture business unit, you will partner with various business areas to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring our organization's processes are efficient and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, developing accurate documentation and identifying risks associated with new processes and capability changes.
- Collaborate with business units and specialist areas to obtain commitment for operational improvement initiatives, promoting changes to practices, policy, and building capability within teams.
- Produce high-quality process and value stream maps to drive meaningful improvements.
- Conduct detailed analysis and interpretation of client and stakeholder needs to inform process or capability changes, supporting WorkSafe's strategic outcomes.
- Provide expert advice on continuous improvement to business stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of business goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development and uptake of WorkSafe's continuous improvement framework, including the creation of tools and templates, and delivery of training to SME staff.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement professional with excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities. You will possess:
- Demonstrated practical application of Continuous Improvement methodologies in medium to large organizations.
- Skills in mapping customer journeys and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in providing expert advice and facilitating Continuous Improvement workshops.
- Advanced computer skills and data analysis capability using Microsoft Word/Excel, ICT systems, collaboration, and productivity applications.
- Understanding of change management principles and implementation.
- Ability to align activities to organizational goals.
- Excellent client focus and ability to influence and manage client expectations.
- High attention to detail and high levels of emotional intelligence.
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in human resources, business, or project management.
