Job Title

A highly experienced Project Director is required to lead the delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage systems as part of a rapidly growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

This role will involve significant project management experience, including that of BESS, to ensure successful delivery of not only this first project, but subsequent projects which will include further BESS projects and solar farms.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in a technical, engineering or project management field and substantial previous experience in project management for the construction of renewable energy and electrical infrastructure assets.

  • Setting up project governance systems and processes to manage project tasks and timeframes of project teams, external consultants & contractors.
  • Participating in pre-contracts, commercial and procurement activities for BESS projects.
  • Managing the design and execution of all project packages including engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, SCADA and ancillary services.
  • Ensuring adherence to project implementation plans, identifying issues & bottlenecks, and mitigating impact of project challenges.
  • Leading end-to-end project delivery including setting up multidisciplinary project teams, onboarding & managing contractors, owner's engineers, NSPs, government authorities, suppliers and 3rd party consultants via active contract management.

Successful candidates will be involved in leading utility-scale battery energy storage projects. They will oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling across various stages, ensuring compliance with project goals, timelines, and quality standards. A strong focus will be placed on risk management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
