Unlocking Potential: A Disability Support Professional Role

At Everyday Independence, we're committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. As a Disability Support Professional in our Western Melbourne team, you'll play a pivotal role in breaking down barriers and promoting inclusive communities.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our interdisciplinary team as a Developmental Educator. In this role, you'll work closely with participants, their families, and support teams to develop person-centered support plans, foster strong relationships, and empower individuals to make informed life choices.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability (or equivalent) and eligibility for DEAI membership
  • Suitability for Behaviour Support Practitioner status (with potential assessment required)
  • A strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and understanding, with a non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check
