About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Violence Specialist to join our team at Western Health. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals and families affected by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term support to individuals impacted by family violence, including advice and referrals.
  • Focusing on risk management, safety planning, and making appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct child wellbeing checks and complete child wellbeing assessments.
  • Complete risk assessments on people using violence.
  • Complete MARAM's with Victim Survivors.
  • Adhere to documentation and record keeping requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioural sciences at the degree level with substantial experience or an associate diploma level with substantial experience in the relevant service stream.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, families, and family violence cases with complex needs and risk issues.
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and prioritise risks and needs of clients using a whole-family approach.
Salary Package

The salary for this role is approximately $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
