Community Halls Support Officer Role Overview

The City of Moreton Bay is seeking a skilled and dedicated Community Halls Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our community services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our community halls and facilities.

As a Community Halls Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support across two dynamic locations. Your primary base will be at the Caboolture Hub, with intermittent work at Strathpine to meet operational requirements.

  • Caboolture Hub: This location is a hands-on, customer-facing environment where you will be the first point of contact for visitors and oversee day-to-day venue activities.
  • Strathpine Community Services, Sport and Recreation Building: This location is an administrative setting focused on coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Venue Operations

You will be responsible for overseeing venue procedures at the Caboolture Hub, including opening and closing, room setup, and cleaning/resetting for events. This will involve manual handling tasks.

Additionally, you will manage correspondence and customer requests related to hall operations, build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to service improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable navigating corporate systems and working collaboratively with others.

Experience with online booking systems, particularly Council's Bookable program, would be highly regarded.
