You will assist in building strong school community partnerships by providing information, support and opportunities for shared decision making that enhance student learning.
A key part of your role will be facilitating inclusive, non-threatening communication channels that encourage meaningful two-way dialogue with parents, carers and the wider school community.
Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, you will help analyse current consultative processes and lead the implementation of effective communication strategies, particularly through the use of digital tools, to increase engagement and build trust across our dynamic and multicultural school environment.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Community Liaison Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Develop and implement strategies for effective links between home and school related issues and to encourage greater interest and participation in school activities and programs.Facilitate opportunity for raising parental concerns and advocate equity of service provision.Promote liaison activities to provide information to parents, the school and its community, and facilitate community development activities to improve relations between the school and its community.Act as the contact for parents/carers and the indigenous community to determine relevant issues for improved relationships between the school and its indigenous community.Plan and deliver or organise public presentations, and inform and educate parents and community members/groups about educational trends and policies.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
