The Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Service Representative based in Brisbane to work in a dynamic team. You will be supporting the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program. BCS is a next-generation networking product that combines both developmental and off-the-shelf hardware and software to provide world-leading communications capability for ADF personnel.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues with the BCS, collaborating with ADF system users.
  2. Monitor product operational performance and maintenance activities, collecting technical data to recommend system improvements based on customer feedback.
  3. Provide technical expertise and guidance to ADF BCS users through informal and ad hoc training.
  4. Serve as a liaison at all levels between ADF BCS users and the system developer.
  5. Act as the key point of contact for support services across all ranks.
  6. Understand Unit Operation Orders to assist the BCS Support Organisation in planning appropriate support efforts.
  7. Assist Units in reporting on Network Services Availability and other contract Key Performance Indicators.
Requirements
  • A degree in Information Technology / Telecommunications or equivalent, with relevant experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience within a Defence or technical environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
