Based in NSW, a reputable landscape construction specialist is seeking an experienced HR professional to support employee-related matters.

This role involves working closely with the Commercial Manager and requires a part-time arrangement with flexibility for a 3-4 day working week. The position is based at our office in Berkeley Vale, with salary negotiable based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Spearheading the development and implementation of HR initiatives
  • Providing counsel on policies and procedures
  • Active involvement in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Coordinating training and development programs
  • Assisting in performance management processes
  • Supporting the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in compliance with policy and legal requirements
  • Reviewing employment conditions to ensure adherence to labor laws

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' Human Resources experience, preferably in the construction sector
  • Qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with HR systems and databases, ideally with experience using 'EnableHR'
  • Knowledge of labor laws and best practices in HR
  • Understanding of HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, training, and development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High ethics and reliability
