Electrical Services Design Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated engineer to assist in the design and construction of electrical services for various commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building services and be able to develop designs for electrical services, including lighting, general and specialty power, automation, power distribution and reticulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in estimating and project management with regards to electrical engineering for D&C projects
  • Develop designs for building electrical services, including lighting, general and specialty power, automation, power distribution and reticulation
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure project specifications are met and electrical design or operation problems are solved
  • Review drawings for coordination with other building services and assist in drafting documents to meet project requirements

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Current driver's license
  • Prior experience or understanding of CAD/Revit is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation
  • Understanding and working knowledge of working within an engineering consultancy environment on building services projects
  • Experience leading and running electrical engineering components of major projects
  • Proficiency with industry software (MS Office, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Experience working in electrical services design, including lighting, general and specialty power, automation, power distribution and reticulation
  • Current Police Check and Working with Children's Check
