We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team in Melbourne CBD. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Cloud Infrastructure, and DevOps.

About the Role

This is a 6-month contract opportunity that offers a competitive salary package, including a pay rate of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, inclusive of casual loading. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovative solutions using their expertise in AWS, Cloud Infrastructure, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust technical architectures and solution designs.
  • Migrate 30+ application modules from Amazon EC2 to Amazon ECS or EKS using AWS Fargate.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or Amazon CDK for automated provisioning.
  • Design and execute test plans, logging and resolving issues.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track performance, cost, and reliability, optimizing cloud environments.
  • Research and implement new AWS technologies to improve processes.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including migrating applications from EC2 to ECS or EKS.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services like Fargate, ECR, Lambda, and API Gateway.
  • Expertise in AWS networking, security, and monitoring (VPCs, IAM, CloudWatch).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed design and test documentation.

Desired Skills:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional) certification.
  • Background in Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.Net) development.
  • Familiarity with AWS Landing Zones.
