We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for ensuring rock-solid performance and availability across our SQL Server estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production and non-production environments for our core trading and reporting systems
  • Implement proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets
  • Automate recurring DBA tasks and develop tools for operational efficiency
  • Support migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy
  • Provide Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA
  • Strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes
  • Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions
  • Database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise
  • Security implementation including TDE encryption
  • Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with git-based source control systems
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
  • Eligibility to work in Australia permanently
