As a seasoned SQL Server DBA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the rock-solid performance and availability of our core trading and reporting systems. You will be responsible for managing production and non-production environments, implementing proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies, and collaborating with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage SQL Server environments across Sydney and London operations
  • Implement Always-On High Availability solutions and disaster recovery strategies
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets
  • Automate recurring DBA tasks and develop tools for operational efficiency
  • Support migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy
  • Provide Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA with at least 5 years of hands-on experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You should have strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities. Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes
  • Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions
  • Database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise
  • Security implementation including TDE encryption
  • Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with git-based source control systems
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
