We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our SQL Server estate.
Your primary focus will be on managing production and non-production environments for our core trading and reporting systems, implementing proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies.
You will work closely with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets and automate recurring DBA tasks, developing tools for operational efficiency.
In addition, you will support migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy and provide Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage SQL Server environments (2016-2022) across Sydney and London operations
- Implement Always-On High Availability solutions and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets
- Automate recurring DBA tasks and develop tools for operational efficiency
- Support migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy
- Provide Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies

Requirements:- SQL Server DBA expertise with proven automation experience
- Strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes

- Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with git-based source control systems
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
