Senior SQL Server DBA Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology across various SQL Server environments, including 2016-2022 platforms. Your primary focus will be ensuring high availability and performance across our SQL Server estate.

You will manage production and non-production environments for our core trading and reporting systems, implementing proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies. This includes collaborating with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets, automating recurring DBA tasks, and developing tools for operational efficiency.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities. Key requirements include:

  • Expertise in SQL Server DBA with proven automation experience
  • Strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes
  • Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions, database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise
  • Security implementation including TDE encryption, proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting, experience with git-based source control systems, knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
