Database Administrator Position

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to provide top-notch DBA support and work collaboratively with business and technology departments.

The role requires someone with extensive knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including maintaining and enhancing current procedures, upgrading and patching SQL Server from earlier versions, and implementing technologies related to replication, mirroring, and log shipping.

  • Maintaining and enhancing current procedures
  • Upgrading and patching SQL Server from earlier versions
  • Backup & Recovery of databases and process improvements
  • Database performance assessment and optimization
  • Implementing technologies related to Replication, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Partitioning
  • Migrating data to Azure
  • Working in the context of large (1TB+ databases) and associated performance challenges
  • Supporting metadata packages (SSIS) for reporting purposes
  • Assisting in maintaining Data Quality and Data Integrity
  • Ensuring adequate capacity for database growth
  • Providing recommendations on systems configuration and operational infrastructure as required by management
  • Performance tuning of databases, queries & reports
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience working with large SQL Server Databases
  • Sound knowledge of database architecture, integration issues, third-party reporting and data extraction tools
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL
  • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and SSIS
  • Structured programming methodology, data analysis, and design skills - T-SQL & SQL Knowledge
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
