Job Title: Mobile Plant Mechanic

This role involves servicing and maintaining drilling equipment in various job locations. The successful candidate will work independently with limited supervision, using their technical skills to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment, as well as a qualified mechanic's license. They will be able to communicate effectively with site supervisors and operations managers, and work safely according to WHS standards and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Manage breakdown repairs and servicing of equipment
  • Maintenance reporting and liaison with site supervisors and operations managers
  • Complete parts requests and manage fleet service to minimize downtime
  • Be proactive in preventative maintenance planning and communication
  • Work safely as per WHS standards and company policies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working on heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment
  • Qualified mechanic's license
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills
