Opportunity in Small Business Banking at Commonwealth Bank

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Business Banker to enhance our State team in the Sydney CBD area. In this role, you will focus on expanding the sub $1M market segment while delivering customized financial solutions to Small Business clients. Contribute to our goal of becoming Australia's leading Business Bank


Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and manage the provision of business financial products for Small Business Banking clients, including commercial loans up to $1 million.
  • Engage in remote, needs-based discussions with clients to identify new opportunities.
  • Execute proactive outreach to existing Small Business Banking clients, utilizing our Customer Engagement Engine and Next Best Conversations.
  • Deliver exceptional support and customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure outstanding service during the loan settlement process, which includes gathering necessary information, ordering valuations, and preparing documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Commercial Lending and/or B2B sales.
  • Strong customer service abilities, both in-person and remotely.
  • Solid financial analysis capabilities and commercial insight.
  • Experience in facilitating discussions with clients to ascertain their needs, managing a pipeline of opportunities, and ensuring proactive customer engagement.
  • FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation is required.
  • Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2 or a willingness to obtain this within six months.
