About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join our team at Suncorp Group. As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for leading, growing, and inspiring a high-performing team of banking professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our largest and most influential business customers across target segments (Agribusiness and/or Commercial) in the region.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of high-integrity banking professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
  • Business Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working collaboratively with other region staff to meet business requirements and drive portfolio growth.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and analyze portfolio growth, sales, service, credit quality, MFI, ROI, and expense results for the portfolio, ensuring compliance with corporate risk policies.
  • Communication: Network and liaise with key business customers, District Manager, and State Manager to optimize and maintain relationships and promote customer retention.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement activity within the region, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and improve customer outcomes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or finance are desirable.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a high-value customer base, preferably in financial services.
  • Skills: Ability to recognize and implement business strategies to drive a highly engaged and skilled team, a strong risk culture, growth, and customer acquisition, and outstanding customer experiences.
  • Networking: Established networks across Southern QLD to provide new-to-bank opportunities and support business growth.
