About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Selina as a Finance Manager, where you will play a key role in overseeing the accounting operations, managing banks and outsourced functions, and ensuring compliance with local and state reporting requirements and tax filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting operations, including maintaining an orderly accounting filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Manage banks and outsourced functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and transactions.
- Prepare and issue monthly financial statements for the Cluster, coordinate the preparation of the corporate quarter and annual reports, and calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local and state reporting requirements and tax filings, and coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Finance & Accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
- High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting (accounts payable/general ledger, financial chart of accounts, etc.) and corporate procedures and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, etc.).
- Fluent or capable of working in Spanish and English.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong work ethics, well-organized, and a self-starter.
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable, and able to follow standard filing procedures.
