As a Fleet Operations Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling stock projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical liaison and support to Metro Trains Melbourne drivers or other technical staff on an around-the-clock basis.

You will work closely with TLS technical/engineering staff to identify faults, develop countermeasures, and implement action recovery plans to optimize the Availability and Reliability of the HCMT fleet. This involves analyzing complex problems, developing creative solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. You should also have experience in conflict resolution, knowledge of quality assurance procedures, and solid understanding of formal engineering change processes and reliability improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 technical support to Metro Trains Melbourne drivers or other technical staff
  • Collaborate with TLS technical/engineering staff to identify faults and develop countermeasures
  • Develop and implement action recovery plans to optimize fleet availability and reliability
