Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Compositing Supervisor to join our team at Industrial Light & Magic. This is a key leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team of artists.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of 2D compositing on high-profile projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectations.
  • Collaborate with Production and CG Supervisors to design efficient workflows and optimize project throughput.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure seamless integration of their work into the overall project.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex compositing challenges, leveraging expertise in color management, scanning, and internal systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation, clean-up, and archiving of projects after completion.
  • Interface with other departments to guarantee smooth collaboration and successful outcomes.
  • Assist in assessing software needs and requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Compositing Supervisor or similar role on large-scale feature/episodic projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members.
  • Strong technical expertise in 2D compositing, including proficiency in industry-standard software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with color management principles and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on creative and technical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
