The role of the Program Lead is to spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing school attendance and overall performance, while fostering career growth and work-readiness in students.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver programmatic content in schools encompassing planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Nurture meaningful relationships with students, community members, and educational institutions.
- Prioritize support for First Nation students aged 12-18, including facilitating workshops, providing in-class tutoring, and offering outside-class assistance.
- Develop and implement NASCA Life Skills and School Engagement activities such as cooking, creative arts, leadership development, CV creation, goal setting, and job-readiness training.
- Organize physical education activities featuring Traditional Indigenous Games.
- Collaborate with school teams, occasionally working weekends and overnight to manage residential programs and camps.
