Job Title: Child Wellbeing Services Manager

This role involves overseeing the delivery of services that promote the wellbeing of young people in South Australia.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will develop and participate in local, regional and state-wide networks with government and non-government agencies to identify service gaps and vulnerable populations.
  • They will build relationships to increase capacity to respond to identified family needs and provide options to achieve outcomes of safety, security and care of children, young people and their families.
  • The position requires an understanding of the range of connected services provided by the department and their relevance to clients.
  • The successful candidate will also provide consultation on complex cases to maintain compliance with legislative requirements and related policies and procedures.
  • They will enable evidence-based intervention methodologies and provide professional supervision and reflective practice to Child Wellbeing Practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide consultancy service to staff regarding statutory child protection and risk management.
  • To utilise critical information to guide staff and stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will identify areas where family support is required and discuss situations or concerns with key staff.
  • They will oversee the provision of services that enhance outcomes for clients and improve outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • The position involves developing protocols and policies for inter-agency collaboration and referral processes.

Requirements:

  • National Police Check required.
  • Employment-related Screening Check required.
  • Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
  • Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C) is essential.
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status prior to engagement.
