**Job Opportunity:** Union Organiser

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Union Organiser. This role involves recruiting, representing and supporting union members in their workplaces and industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to trade unionism, social justice and equality. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting new members and growing the union's presence in the community
  • Representing members in workplace disputes and negotiations
  • Providing training and support to members on union policies and procedures

**Requirements:

  • A commitment to the principles of trade unionism, social justice and equality
  • Experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and other technology
  • A current full driver's licence
  • Eligibility to obtain a Right of Entry permit
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
