Job Overview

Our client is the newly created provider of centralized supply chain and procurement services to Victoria's public health sector. They pride themselves on bringing innovation, agility, and a focus on commercial outcomes from the private sector to their role of delivering best-value equipment and services to Victoria's Health Sector.

They are currently looking to engage a senior Programme Manager to lead the transformation of their Procurement Business Unit. This involves combining multiple streams of work into an aligned programme that will deliver the desired outcome for our client's customers.

Key Responsibilities

This is a critical programme management role that requires a highly experienced Programme Manager with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the transformation of the Procurement Business Unit through programme management
  • Driving a critical programme that requires high-level stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • Managing all aspects of the programme, including providing overall guidance and direction to project teams and overseeing financial management activities
  • Negotiating and managing conflict within the programme team
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships within both programme and project teams and across business units
Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in large-scale programme management
  • Effective stakeholder engagement at an executive level
  • Project management training or certification
  • Strong leadership skills to ensure productivity and cost-effectiveness within the project team
  • Ability to document and communicate the status of programmes against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed
  • High attention to detail and ability to form strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders
