Job Opportunity: Strategic HR Partner

This exciting role plays a critical part in the success of a prominent Australian business with a national presence and local reach. As a key member of the HR team, you will work closely with the General Manager of People and Performance to drive strategic initiatives and provide support on various projects.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR generalist with a strong background in human resources, commercial acumen, and exceptional communication skills. You will act as a sounding board for the People & Performance team, engage with executives, and provide sound HR advice while maintaining a passion for care and kindness towards employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager of People and Performance on various projects, including systems, processes, and HR-related requirements.
  • Act as a sounding board for the People & Performance team and focus on day-to-day operations to allow the GM to focus on strategy.
  • Engage with executives, have tough conversations, and provide sound HR advice.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement effective HR strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trust easily and understand the importance of HR getting close to employees.
