As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our workplace safety standards through a comprehensive review and overhaul of our current practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a thorough gap analysis of current WHS practices to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop a detailed WHS strategy and implementation plan that addresses identified gaps and enhances overall workplace safety.
  • Create, update, and implement WHS processes, policies, and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on all aspects of workplace health and safety.
  • Lead WHS risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
  • Coordinate and deliver WHS training programs to educate employees on safety practices and responsibilities.
  • Lead Incident Investigations, reporting findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and ensure that WHS initiatives are effectively integrated into business operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates for the executive team on the safety performance and progress of WHS initiatives and compliance status.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading and carrying out the above contributions.
  • Extensive knowledge, interpretation, and application of WHS legislation.
  • Qualification within WHS or a related field.
  • Experience working with and influencing executive or senior leadership teams.
  • Experience in developing and presenting influential business cases.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Australia and NZ.
